Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.

The Selection: Aspen or Maxon

There are a lot of people in the net who prefer Maxon over Aspen.

They saw Aspen as a certified jerk and Maxon as a kind and lovable prince.

In my opinion, Maxon’s character is not as powerful as of Aspen.

Maxon is perfect that I think his character is boring.

While with Aspen, his background justify the things he had done.

He pushed away the woman he loved because he didn’t want her to experience the life of being six. He wanted her back because he loved her too much and besides he’s now a two and now could stand himself to America’s family.

In real life, Maxon is really a good fish,a really good catch, and for practicality, he really stands out. However, in this literary piece: The Selection, Aspen’s character is more interesting and Maxon’s more of a flat character.

Anyway, with what I got from the reactions of the fans of the book, with the no. of appearance in each chapter of The Selection and with the analogy of Peeta and Gale; Maxon and Aspen, I think Maxon will get the girl.

However, if I would do the ending of this trilogy, Maxon would get a more deserving queen and still would rule the country, then I would break the caste system, and Aspen and America would live a normal life together (just so America’s family would know the word satisfaction).
